Work Space

Workspaces, considered.

A workplace is shaped by the pieces people use every day: the coat rack at the entrance, the table where ideas are shared, the shelf that holds the work in progress. At Kristina Dam Studio, each of those pieces is treated as sculpture, pared back to its essential lines, built from solid oak and steel, and made to hold its shape through years of daily use, not a single season. Founded in Copenhagen in 2012 by graphic designer Kristina Dam, the studio brings an architect’s precision to furniture for spaces where focus, function and atmosphere go hand in hand.

The Work Space collection brings together everything needed to furnish an office, studio or showroom from reception to meeting room: Collector dining tables and chairs for meetings and shared lunches, Outline counter and bar chairs for kitchens and high tables, Split café tables and stools for informal breakout areas, and Curved benches for receptions and corridors. Storage and display come from Grid sideboards and display cabinets, Stack bookcases, display cabinets and storage boxes, Japanese display cabinets and Foldable bookcases and consoles, while Column coat racks, Planar and Curved wall shelves and Serif Relief wall art complete the walls. Simple side tables, coffee tables and stools, Japanese tray tables and Curved and Japanese pedestals add flexibility to lounge areas and give objects and samples a place to be seen. Because every piece shares the same honest materials, clean geometry and quiet, monochromatic palette, architects, developers and interior designers can mix series freely and still create one coherent design language across floors and departments. Solid oak brings warmth and grain to meeting rooms and lounges; stainless steel adds structure and a cool, architectural edge to receptions, kitchens and open-plan areas. These are pieces that suit a workplace today and will still feel right when the team, and the floor plan, change.

A considered interior carries its language into the smallest details. Pair the furniture with objects from Decoration or Sculptures, a vase on the reception desk or a sculpture on a pedestal in the meeting room.
